Family discount: 5% when cruising with one child under 16 on day of departure, 10% with 2+ children. In periods D and E this discount is doubled to save either 10% or 20%!

Terms and conditions

Reservation :
A reservation will only be considered firm upon receipt of a 40% deposit of the agreed hire price, in addition to a completed booking form.

Cancellation:
In the event of cancellation by the hirer the following will be withheld: More than 91 days prior to departure: 20% of the hire price with a minimum of 100 € Between 91 days and 43 days prior to departure: 40% of the hire price, with a minimum of 100€ Less than 43 days prior to departure: 100% of the hire price To protect clients against cancellation costs due to serious events, a cancellation insurance is available at cost of 3.5% of the cruise price.

Interruption of the cruise:
Pavillon Saone cannot be held responsible for the interruption of any cruise due to events outside it’s control such as essential canal or river maintenance work, floods, droughts. In such events the client had no right to a reimbursement. However, Pavillon Soane, being situated in a rich area in terms of waterways, will whenever possible offer an alternative cruise or boat at another date but during the equivalent period.

Aptitude:
The captain must be 18 years of age and accept to take responsibility for the hire boat and material placed under his care. Pavillon Saone reserves the right to refuse to hand over a boat to anybody that appears incapable of such responsibility. In such a case, a reimbursement of the price of the hire boat will be proposed. The hirer has no reclaim to any other payment.

Handing over of the Boat:
The boat hirer accepts to use the boat as if it were his own, ie with care and attention at all times, and to abide by the rules of the navigation services, the police, and the country visited. The hirer agrees to allow no third party, unless expressly authorised by Pavillon Saone, to board the boat and to use the boat for tourism purposes only, excluding all professional uses. Towing the boat, cruising after sunset, sea cruising and sub-letting are all strictly prohibited.

Returning to Port:
On returning to the port, the hirer must contact Pavillon Saone and be present at the inspection of the boat. The hirer is required to return the boat complete and in clean condition. Failure to do so will result in the cleaning costs being deducted from the safety deposit paid. All mateial damaged or missing will be billed. The hirer agrees to return to port at the given time and date. Any late entry will be billed by the equivalent sum due to the following hirer due to disruption of his cruise.

Accidents and Break-downs:
In case of accident or break-down, the hirer is requested to contact Pavillon Saone immediately to request instructions. A repair and break-down service is assured. Pavillon Saone will assist the hirer within normal working hours within the minimum delay, dependent on staff availability and materials. If the break-down or accident is a direct result of negligence by the hirer, Pavillon Saone reserves the right to bill such call outs and repairs. In the event of repeated problems, the Hirer has no right to reimbursement EXCEPT when the fault is caused by Pavillon Saone itself. In such event, the first 24 hours is not reimbursed.

Lock closure:
The River Saone has an advantage over the canals in that lock closures are infrequent, as is major work resulting in closure of the waterway. In the event of lock closures, the distance between locks is such that cruising is little affected. Lock closure dates can be obtained from Pavillon Saone, once announced for the season.
