Nivernais Canal

Starting from the Nicols base at Plagny, head southeast on the Canal latéral à la Loire towards Decize, turn northwards and cruise through the port into the lock "16 bis de Saint Maurice", you'll then cruise on the River Loire for a then a few hundred metres cross before turning right into the Canal du Nivernais.

The Canal du Nivernais spans across the Morvan regional park with gentle granite hills and deep forests, punctuated with remarkable sites such as curiously formed Gréau rocks.

Nicols has various boats for you to choose from and different cruise routes are possible from the base in Plagny.
