We will meet you at the station or your local hotel in Dole at 5 p.m and drive to MS Maïtena, moored in the ancient town of Dole. A traditional champagne welcome sets the scene for the week to come as you meet the crew.
After settling in, enjoy your first gourmet dinner on board, a first taste of Burgundy's refined flavours, followed by a nightcap on deck before heading to bed in your peaceful suite.

Dole to L'Abergement--la-Ronce
Monday: A day of history and the Tanner's District
On Monday morning, after a good breakfast, we'll explore the fascinating medieval town of Dole, the birthplace of Louis Pasteur. With its picturesque old quarter, canals, and the Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame, we step back in time in this captivating town. The Tanner's district, with its narrow streets, takes us back in time to when this was a thriving part of the town.
After lunch on board, MS Maïtena begins her peaceful cruise towards Labergement-la-Ronce, on the River Saône. Why not take a bicycle or stroll along this beautiful river? You are sure to spot some fabulous flora and fauna along the way before hopping back aboard at the next lock.

Labergement-la-Ronce to Auxonne
Tuesday: The Imperial City and the Hospices de Beaune
After a fine breakfast, Maitena begins cruising towards Auxonne, one of the Imperial Cities, linked to the 1st and 2nd Empires through its rich history and patrimoine. Once fortified by Vauban, the famous architect serving under Louis XVI for more than 50 years, he helped ensure the safety of towns against invaders. Napoleon Bonaparte studied here, and there is still a military academy in the town.
In the afternoon, we'll visit the world-famous Hospice de Beaune. Cameras at the ready! Step back in time to medieval times in the ancient wards, chapel, apothecary, and kitchens. In the courtyard, you will want to admire the beautiful tiles, a sign of wealth and dignity. We continue our visit with a guided walking tour through the medieval city centre, where you may wish to pick up some souvenirs, perhaps in one of the several antique shops, before returning to Maitena for an evening "apero" before Dinner.

Auxonne to Saint-Jean-de-Losne
Wednesday: Markets and hands-on cooking!
The day begins early for those who wish to visit the local bakery to select a variety of beautifully fresh bread and pastries for breakfast. If you prefer to wait on board, take time to watch the morning mists above the river for some fabulous photo opportunities.
After breakfast, join the chef to visit the local market and select fresh ingredients to create a fabulous evening dinner.
Our afternoon cruise takes us to St.Jean-de-Losne, the largest inland port in France. Explore the town and see hundreds of fabulous boats, before joining Maxime and Sandrine in the galley for a convivial cooking lesson.
After an apero, we will celebrate your culinary success at dinner.

Saint Jean de Losne to Longecourt
Thursday: Grand Dining at "La Table de Léonce and Grand Cru Wines
We join the Burgundy Canal today to continue our journey toward Longecourt, the gateway to Burgundy's Grand Crus.
Relax in the morning before we set off!
The day's highlight will surely be our private visit to the Clos de Vougeot Château, home to the Tastevin, for a guided tasting and lunch in the historic Château's dining room, La Table de Léonce. This exceptional lunch paired with a tasting of 7 wines, including two Grand Crus, will undoubtedly be one of your favourite moments of the week.
Mid-afternoon, we return to Maitena for a gentle cruise to Longecourt. You may like to walk or cycle along the peaceful Burgundy Canal during the journey, or simply relax as the world drifts by.

Longecourt to Dijon
Friday:
Our final cruising brings us to Dijon, the Capital of the Dukes of Burgundy. After lunch on board, we set off to explore the elegant streets with a private guide. Discover the Palais des Ducs, the Halles Market designed by Gustav Eiffel, and a few hidden gems along the way! There will be time to buy souvenirs in the charming shops, including Maille Mustard, a beautiful epicerie dating from 1845.
Back on board, a gala dinner awaits! The perfect moment to reminisce and capture the very essence of the fabulous MS Maitena.

Dijon: Au revoir!
Saturday
After a final gourmet breakfast, disembarkation will be at 10 AM, followed by a transfer to a predesignated point (Dijon TGV Station, local hotel...).
Your journey through Burgundy's heart comes to an end, but you will remember the timeless French elegance that you have discovered during your cruise. Au revoir!
