Cruise along the Venetian lagoon and the Po Valley

Guests are met at a designated hotel in Venice on Sunday afternoon and transferred by air-conditioned coach to La Bella Vita for a Prosecco welcome.
A late afternoon cruise takes us along the Giudeccan Canal past some of Venice's most famous monuments: the Chiesa des Rednetorre, the impressive Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute and the Punta della Dogana.
Dinner aboard, followed perhaps by an evening stroll to St Mark's Square.

Venice - Pellestrina/San Pietro in Volta
Guided tour to the center of Venice.
We visit the gardens of the Biennale Exhibition of Modern Arts, Pilladios Church of San Pietro in Castello, the Naval museum with a model of the Bucintoro (Doge's Boat) and the Pavillon of Gondolas housing Peggy Guggenhiem's own vessel.
Late afternoon cruise to Pellestrina separating the Venetian Lagoon from the Adriatic Sea, along the Canal of Orphans passing lagoon islands with their brightly coloured houses, painted fishing boats and tiny churches.
We moor in San Pietro in Volta for a Venetian aperitif in a typical local 'bacaro'.
Dinner aboard.

Pellestrina - Chioggia - Adria
After a stroll or cycle along the 18th century Istrian Sea wall, we cruise past wild dunes and pine woods teeming with wildlife.
Entering Chioggia, city of Goldoni's plaus, we visit the Piazzetta Vigo, Vigo Bridge and 12th century Vigo Column.
At the Chiesa di San Domenico, we see Carpaccio's St Paul, his last recorded painting and works by Tintoretto and Bassano.
Then Chioggia's cathedral beckons with works, among others, Tiepolo.
We visit the colourful fish market and make a short Adriatic cruise before enjoying the nature reserve, Po River delta and Bianco canal to Adria.
Dinner aboard.

Bussari - Canda/Trevenzuolo
Morning cruise to Canda, with guided tour of Ferrara's 14th century Estence Castle and Renaissance surroundings.
This ancient ducal fortress with moat, drawbridges and unusual battlements, houses marble balconies and sumptuous appartments.
We see the Cathedral facade with it's sculptured images, described as an Illustrated Bible.
