Transfer from hotel in Beziers to the Anjodi for a Champagne Welcome. Evening cruise crossing River Orb viaduct and ascending the flight of locks at Fontsérannes. Dinner aboard.
Béziers to Capstang
Monday
Fully guided visit of 13th century fortified Béziers cathedral and the l’Oppidum D’Enserune dating from 600 B.C Afternoon cruise to Capestang passing through the worlds oldest canal tunnel; Pre -dinner wine tasting in Domaine de Guer.
Capestang to Le Somail
Tuesday
Explore the Roman Meditteranean capital of Narbonne : visit the Archbishop's Palace and Horreum, and bustling indoor market. Afternoon cruise to Le Somail.
Le Somail to Homps
Wednesday
Morning visit to Lezignan market: see the true colours of France. Leisurely cruise followed by Corbieres wine tasting at 17th century chateau La Voulte Gasparets. Evening: dine ashore at a charming canalside inn
Homps to Marseillette
Thursday
A peaceful morning cruise to Puicheric followed by an excursion to Minerve, the ancient capital of the Minervois: Enjoy the miniature recreation of the Cathar rebellion and museum, and a fantastic panoramic view from this hilltop location. Twilight cruise to Marseillette.
Marseillette to Trébes
Friday
Fascinating visit to Carcasonne, the most complete medieval fortified town in existence: marvel at the 52 turrets, portcullis and defence systems. Afternoon cruise through vineyards and pinetrees. Captain’s Farewell Dinner
Trebes to Béziers
