As you step aboard the Apres Tout, it is hard to believe that this barge, built in 1950 in Chalon-sur-Saône, was once used for carrying cargo!
While the exterior may be traditional, the interior offers a modern, sleek design with light open spaces and chrome and wooden fittings throughout.
As you have chosen to relax rather than pilot your own boat, you will certainly enjoy watching Rory at work in the wheelhouse. The comfortable seating for six has all-round visibility and a removable roof, thus creating a perfect viewing area.
A couple of steps down and you can see the chef at work in the purpose-built galley. Pull up a stool and watch Caroline working her culinary genius using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Apres Tout has a wonderfully spacious dining room with a saloon measuring 6m. x 4m.! Solid wood dining furniture and firm leather sofas make this the perfect area to savour the gourmet meals and fine wines that will be an integral part of your cruise.
A flat screen TV and Bose sound system are available for your entertainment.
Access to the sundeck is via the saloon. Measuring a very impressive 15.7m x 4m, the teak deck has ample room for several loungers, sun umbrellas and a dining area too. To the front of the deck, you will find the spa, ideal for cooling off on those hot summer afternoons.
During the day, you may like to take a quiet moment in the 10.5m square study, where you will find a computer and a selection of books. Opening portholes, made of traditional brass, ensure plenty of light.
Apres Tout has three very spacious, carpeted and air-conditioned cabins, each measuring 4.4m x 3.3m and with plenty of storage space. The king size bed can be divided into two large singles, if preferred. Each cabin contains a flat screen with DVD player, a writing desk, a telephone, a wardrobe with safe, and opening windows with blinds. The cabins are tastefully decorated with just a hint of colour for a truly relaxing ambiance.
The en-suite bathrooms have an electric toilet, an elegant, full size hand basin and a fully tiled, double size, walk-in shower, complete with non-slip flooring and handrails for your safety. Here you will also find a range of complimentary Occitaine toiletries. The bathrooms all have opening windows with blinds for privacy and electric shaving points.(110v)
Rory and Caroline have selected a top of the range Mercedes Viano, with tinted windows, leather seats and air-conditioning throughout. Seating eight, plus space for luggage, this is the ideal vehicle for your transfers and excursions.
The crew quarters are completely separated from the guest accommodation.
