Join the Clair de Lune, a beautiful & deluxe hotel barge tastefully furnished with cherry wood and African hardwood which provide a sophisticated, modern interior.
Claire de Lune offers superior accommodation for up to 6 guests in three contemporary junior suites, which can be configured as double or twins.
For great views, there is a light and airy saloon with picture windows in which to relax, and a comfortable dining area.
Enjoy the sunny weather on the large sundeck complete with spa pool from which to admire the passing countryside with a glass of wine, or cup of tea!

Our guests are met at either Beziers or Narbonne for a transfer by private chauffeured minibus to the Clair de Lune. Meet the crew over a glass of chilled Champagne and canapés before settling into your cabin. There's no need to rush as we have time for a short cruise before your first dinner on board.
Monday: Colombiers to Capestang
After a good night's sleep, enjoy the views from the sundeck, or perhaps cycle of walk along at a gentle pace as we cruise through the morning. After lunch on board, we invite you to a private wine tastnig and visit to the Oppidum d'Enserune, a 2000 year old hilltop archeological site located near to our mooring. Dinner at a local restaurant.
Tuesday: Capestang to La Croissade
This morning we'll take an excursion to Pezenas, a delightful cillage from which Miliere, the french playwright, took inspiration while staying here. Enjoy lunch on board before we cruise to la Croisade, where dinner will be in the restaurant on the banks of the Canal.
Wednesday: La Croisade to Le Somail
This morning we step back to the Roman eara in the beautiful city of Narbonne, where the Visigoth monarchs once lived. We'll visit the old: the Archbishops Palace and Roman Horreum, as well as the new: the market place is thriving! in the Halles de Narbonne. Take time to try and buy local products, or simply abord the relaxed atmosphere. A tasty lunch in a typical French restaurant close the Les Halles provides a welcome break, before we return to the Clair de Lune for our afternoon cruise to the lovely port of Le Somail.

Thursday: Le Somail to Argens-Minervois
Today we explore the bloody Cathar rebellion! After breakfast we visit Minever, with 12th century Cathar fort surrounded by deep, limestone gorges. Enjoy spectacular views from this hilltop location besieged by Simon de Montford in 1210. View the fascinating reconstruction in miniature and the small museum to complete this intriguing visit. ON our journey back to Clair de Lune, we'll stop to visit the Domaine Massamier La Mignarde for a private wine tasting, followed by lunch in a local restaurant at Le Somail. Then it's time to relax on our afternoon cruise to Argens Minervois before dinner on board.
Friday: Argens-Minervois to Homps
Our last full day we'll begin by cruising through 4 locks before reaching Homps, which was once a main commercial harbour. Lunch will be ashore overlooking the Canal, after which we'll hop on the bus for the short journey to Carcassonne, the jewel of the Canal du Midi. Dating back to Gallo Roman times, the 52 watchtowers, portcullis and defences take us back in time. This is a truly magical Camelot setting! Stroll through the streets, enjoy the views and relax. We return to Clair de Lune for our last dinner on board.
After a hearty breakfast to help you on your way, guests are transferred by private minibus to the location of their choice in Narbonne.

Our guests are met at Narbonne for a private, chauffeured transfer by minibus to Clair de Lune. A traditional Champagne and canapé welcome awaits, before your first dinner on board.
Monday: Capestang to La Croisade
After a healthy and hearty breakfast, we take an excursion to Pezenas, a beautiful village where the French playwright Moliere took inspiration to write a number of his plays. After lunch on board, we will cruise to La Croisade, where you can dine this evening at the restaurant overlooking the Canal du Midi.
Tuesday: La Croisade to Le Somail
Our morning cruise takes us along the Canal to the delightful fishing port of Le Somail, one of the most charming villages on the Canal. After lunch, we will venture to Minerve to view the 12th century Cathar Fort surrounded by deep limestone gorges, and discover the bloody history of the region. Besieged by Simon de Montfort in 1210, this hilltop location offers breath-taking views. A small museum and miniature recreate this terrible time. On our journey back to the barge, we'll make a stop at the Domaine Massamier La Mignarde, for a private wine tasting.

Wednesday: Le Somail to Argens-Minervois
In contrast to the village of Minerve, today we venture to Narbonne to explore the Roman Mediterranean capital where the Visigoths once lived. There is plenty to explore including the Archbishop's Palace, the Roman Horreum, and the indoor market 'Les Halles de Narbonne' at the heart of this bustling town. We can enjoy lunch in a typical French restaurant by Les Halles, before we return to Clair de Lune for our relaxing afternoon cruise to Argens Minervois.

Thursday: Argens-Minervois to Homps
Sit back and relax this morning as we take our last cruise passing through 4 locks towards Homps, which was once one of the major commercial harbours on the Canal du Midi. Enjoy lunch in a restaurant overlooking the Canal. Our final excursion takes us to the most complete fortified city in existence today, Carcassonne, which dates back to the Gallo Roman era. Admire and count the 52 watchtowers, portcullis and a range of defences that enabled this Camelot setting to resist many armies. Step back in time and walk the ramparts for an unforgettable view.
This evening, our last dinner on board is the perfect moment to look back over our voyage.
After breakfast, guests will be transferred by private chauffeured minibus to their choice of location in Narbonne. Au revoir!
