MV Princesse de Provence: Arles - Lyon

We are very pleased to have joined forces with Peter Deilmann Cruises for the 2009 season, thus extending our range of holidays to include some delightful river cruises. The MV Princesse de Provence is a deluxe vessel built in 1992 and refurbished in 2005.
Our C.E.O visited her at Lyon toward the end of the 2008.
"It was lovely to be aboard such a luxurious vessel.
Despite my visiting at the end of the season, the ship was in excellent condition, smelling wonderful with an abundance of fresh flowers in the common areas, and the staff friendly and helpful.
My maid and waiter saw to my every need while remaining discreet throughout my stay.

This type of cruise is ideal for the individual traveller or a couple as both are bound to find similar company aboard.

On speaking to a number of guests, it was clear that the ship offers a very memorable cruise experience and the unique opportunity to explore a number of cities, in various regions.

This ship has a light and airy ambiance and is distinguished by staterooms on her upper deck that have full-length french doors that open into your cabin (cabins on the lower deck have large windows)
Original works of art can be found throughout the vessel.
She has a total of 70 twin, identically sized cabins of 130 square feet, all of which are outside, carrying 148 guests.
Each cabin is beautifully appointed and features built-in closets, desk, shower, toilet, telephone and three-channel radio.
A hair dryer and terry robes will offered by your maid.
Staterooms are configured as twin bedded.
Bedding is european style duvets, with additional blankets available.
No smoking is permitted in the cabins, restaurant, lounges or corridors.

The vessel features six meals daily (breakfast, morning bouillon, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and midnight snack).
All meals are single seating in a non-smoking dining room with five-course evening meals (up to 9 courses on selected evenings).
Additionally, there is a lounge, two bars, beauty salon, boutique, laundry, safe deposit boxes as well as an infirmary with a qualified doctor aboard.

The sun deck has plenty of deck chairs and blankets, if needed.
A Captain's Welcome and Captain's Farewell Receptions are provided as well as nightly entertainment and dancing.

There is one crew member for every 2.5 guests, providing the best crew-to-passenger ratio of any river vessel.
This allows for a high level of service as well as sumptuous food, served course by course for the evening meal.

English announcements , menus and daily programmes are provided.
