  • Nivernais
    The Nivernais canal built from 1783 to 1842, is one of the most beautiful in France. The canal, linking the Canal du Laterale a la Loire and the Canal du Centre with the river Yonne, was originally used to transport wood to Paris.
  • Picardy
    In the north of France, Picardy has a strong cultural identity and even its own language. Its sad past as the home of the battle of the Somme has made the Picards a proud people, always willing to welcome visitors into their community.
  • Provence
    In the south east of France bordering onto the Mediterranean sea and Italy, Provence is one of the most ancient inhabited regions of Europe, with artefacts proving the presence of man as early as 1 million years B.C
