The Libellule offers a varied route covering parts of the Canal de Centre, the majestic River Saone and the Burgundy canal. br> Tastefully decorated in beautiful woods, brass and fine fabrics the boat is fully air-conditioned to ensure your comfort on board.

Arranged on two decks, accomodation comprises of:
6 twin cabins and 1 double cabin on the lower deck
2 twin cabins and 1 double cabin on the upper deck
All cabins benefit from air conditioning, central heating, opening windows or portholes. private shower/bathroom, wardrobes, drawers, bookshelf and reading lamps.

ITINERARY
Saturday
Dijon
Passengers taking our transfers will meet at TBA at Paris.
Transfer to Dijon by TGV and to Libellule moored in the port of Dijon, close to the city centre, where we stay for the night.
The crew will serve a welcome cocktail as the bags are taken to the cabins, after which there will be time to settle in or walk into town before dinner is served on board.

Sunday
Dijon - Longecourt en Plaine
Disembark after breakfast to drive through the vineyards of the Cote de Nuits for a guided visit of the Chateau of Clos Vougeout, medieval monastic winery and present-day head quarters of the Confrerie des Chevaliers du Tastevin.
Return to Libellule in time for lunch at a lock just outside Dijon, ready for an afternoon cruise.
Good opportunities to walk along the tow path or to cycle into nearby villages between fairly frequent locks before we moor at the village Longecourt en Plaine.

Monday
Longecourt en Plain - St Jean de Losne -Seurre
Cast off during breakfast.
Morning cruise to St Jean de Losne, traditionally the centre of barging in Burgundy and situated at the junction of the Canal de Bourgogne and the river Saone.
After lunch, we take a coach excursion to Beaune, the centre of the Burgundy wine trade, for a guided visit of the Hospice de Beaune, world-famous charity hospital which was founded in the 15th century,a true masterpiece of late-Medieval architecture.
Free time to visit the town with it's wine museum, magnificent Romanesque church and numerous wine cellars.
Return to Libellule at Seurre, charming brick-built riverside town.

Tuesday
Seurre – Chalon sur Saone
Today is market day in Dijon, so after an early breakfast we drive there for a guided tour of the principal sites of the city center, before free time to explore the market and the excellent shopping center.
Return to Libellule in Seure for lunch, we will cruise in the afternoon southard on the Saone to our mooring for tonight, Chalon sur Saone.
This is the second largest city in Burgundy and an important trading center since Gallo-Roman times.
Time to visit the beautifully preserved medieval town center surrounding the Cathedral of St Vincent, before dinner.

Wednesday
Chalon sur Saone - Chagny
We cast off during breakfast; however, there will be the opportunity to stay in town to visit the excellent shops or the Niecephore museum, inventor of photography and native to Chalon.
We enter the Canal du Centre from the river through a lock with a fifty-foot rise and cruise along an attractive winding stretch, with good opportunites to walk or cycle along the green cycling track recently built along the Canal Du Centre between Chalon sur Saone and St Leger sur Dheune.

Thursday
Chagny - Santenay - Dennevy - St Leger sur Dheune
This morning's cruise takes us to Santenay.
We moor in time to explore this famous wine prodcing village of the Cote d'Or, before lunch.
Wine tasting!
Cruise over lunch and through the afternoon to St Leger sur Dheune, for our gala dinner.

Friday
After an early breakfast, transfer by coach to the Dijon railway station and the TGV train to Paris for those who have purchased the transfer.
