The Litote, completely refurbished for the 2005 season, cruises on the Burgundy canal, one of the most famous canals of France.
Tastefully decorated in beautiful woods, brass and fine fabrics the boat is fully air-conditioned to ensure your comfort on board.

ITINERARY
Saturday
Meeting place is by the Quick restaurant outside the Dijon railway station at 2.30pm. Passengers who have taken our Optional Paris transfer meet in the lobby of the Hotel Regina 192 Rue de Rivoli, 75001 PARIS at 11.30am, and transfer to the Gare de Lyon for the TGV high speed train to Dijon in first class seating. The Litote air conditioned motor coach will be waiting to transfer you to the Litote, moored in the village of Vandeness en Auxois. You will be welcomed aboard with champagne, presentation of the crew and a later afternoon cruise to the hamlet of La Repe.
Sunday
In the morning, enjoy our first excursion to the elegant 15th century Chateau de Commarin. Still privately owned, the chateau is noted for its beautiful furnishings and a unique collection of Reniassance heraldic tapestries. Afterwards we will pay a visit to the medieval villags of Chateauneuf en Auxois before returning to Litote for lunch. This afternoon we cruise along the Burgundy canal to the village of Pont d’Ouche for overnight mooring. There is pleasant walking and cycling along the towpath.
Monday
After breakfast we drive over the hills of the Ouche valley to the famous wine producing town of Meursault. A visit to a private cellar has been arranged, with wine tasting and a chance to sample some of the most prestigious wines of this area. We return to Litote in time for a delicious lunch and then begin cruising through one of the most attractive stretches of the Burgundy canal to La Bussiere. We moor a short distance from the abbey which is well worth a visit.
Tuesday
This morning is market day in Dijon, capital of Burgundy and after a guided visit of the historical center, there is time to stroll through the picturesque covered market, the largest in Burgundy. We return to Litote and cruise to the village of Gissey sur Ouche.
Wednesday
A morning cruise , passing through some delightful villages with lots of opportunities to walk or cycle along the towpaths which bring us to Pont de Pany. After lunch, an excursion to Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy and also home to the fabulous 15th century Hospices and its splendid glazed roof, the finest example of Burgundian/Flemish architecture in existence. We return to the Litote moored in Fleury sur Ouche.
Thursday
This morning we cruise through small towns of Vellars and Plombieres, passing alongside Lake Kir before arriving in the port of Dijon, close to the heart of the city. This afternoon, our excursion takes us to Clos de Vougeot where wine was produced as early as the 12th century; enjoy a private wine tasting. We return to Dijon and this evening is our farewell Gala Dinner on board.
Friday
After breakfast, transfer to the Dijon railway station and the TGV train back to Paris for those who have purchased transfer.
