The Niagara, a privately-owned, luxury vessel with a relaxed atmosphere, cruising on the Burgundy canal is one of just two vessels offering both 4 day and 7 day cruises.
Wheelchair access and a lift make this boat ideal for those with reduced mobility.

The MS Niagara is an all-suite traditional Luxe Motor offering very comfortable accomodation for up to 6 guests.

The accommodation comprises of:
An exceptionally large Royal Suite with either one double bed or two singles, 2 armchairs and coffee tables. This is a very luxurious suite with large bathroom with a bath.
The red -carpetted Commodore Suite is very welcoming with standard size double bed and a large bathroom.
The Ambassador Suite with double bed at the rear of the boat has it's own private access and well appointed bathroom.

Opening port holes, lighting and ample storage in each suite.

The boat is centrally heated throughout and air-conditioned.
The dining room/day room with it's bright furnishings is ideal for eating and relaxing.
Wood, brass fittings and soft furnishings all combine to create a wonderful atmosphere.
On the sun deck relax on the superior deck furniture and with a dip in the swimming pool measuring 3m50 x 2m x 1m70.

ITINERARY
Chateau la Chassagne Friday One of the crew will meet you at the Château de Chassagne near Dijon at 5pm, for the private transfer to the Niagara. Enjoy a Kir –Royal cocktail welcome – one of Burgundy’s traditions. Your unforgettable cruise is about to begin! For your first evening on board you will be invited to our traditional welcome dinner where you will learn all details about the cruise. Afterwards you can enjoy drinks on the sundeck and beside the pool. Naturally, all drinks on board are inclusive around the clock. Dijon -Fleury-sur-Ouche Saturday While having breakfast, MS Niagara leaves the port of Dijon and begins to pass through the locks on the canal: There will be a total of 45 during the cruise. The barge passes by lake Kir, then Plombieres les Dijon and Velars sur Ouche. If you're not a connoisseur of Burgundy wines and specialities, as the barge continues on her route, you will begin to become one. The barge has a snail-like pace, the tempo being set by the locks. In the late afternoon we will moor in the charming village of Fleurey sur Ouche. Set off on an excursion to discover the city of Dijon, ancient throne to the Dukes of Burgundy and birth place of Gustave Eiffel. The city is also known as the town of 100 bells, and is famous for Cassis and the tradition of making mustard. Back on board, enjoy a typical french dinner. Fleury-sur-Ouche - Gissey Sunday The voyage takes you into the heart of Burgundy and the magnificent Ouche valley. From the sun deck, you can savour the real Burgundy while passing through traditional village such as Pont de Pany, where Chateau Chassagne is situated, then on to Saint Marie sur Ouche. The scenery and life alongside the canal will seduce you by it's calm and beauty. Tonight the barge is moored in a hidden, romantic spot, beside the river Ouche and a Gallo Romain bridge, one of the most photographed and painted views in the village of Gissey sur Ouche. Today our excursion will be to a wine degustation in the cellars of the domain Chateau la Chassagne. In the evening, the traditional farewell party is an ideal goodbye to the passengers enjoying the 4 day cruise only. Gissey Monday Beaune is our excursion destination today for those guests having booked a 6 night cruise. Wine tastings with experts to guide you and answer all your questions, visits to some of the most important names in Burgundy such as Corton, Volnay and Mersault. For lunch you will be invited to a highly reputed village restaurant surrounded by Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines. In the afternoon, there is plenty of time to visit the famous Hospice de Beaune and to explore the charming boutiques lining the cobbled streets of the historic market town. Return to the barge is via the 'Hautes Cotes' along the country roads and past the source of the river Ouche. This evening, your chef will surprise you with something special... Gissey - Pont d'Ouche Tuesday We leave Gissey in the morning and head on to Saint Victor sur Ouche and La Bussiere. After a delicious buffet lunch, the cruise goes along to Veuvey to reach todays destination at Pont d'Ouche. Once moored, we will invite you to visit Chateauneuf en Anxois, which you will pass tomorrow on the barge. Walk into this Medieval village ith it's cafés, antique and curiosity shops along the picturesque streets. The breath-taking views over the Auxois plains are not to be missed, with their lakes and the Morvan hills in the distance. Back on board, enjoy our typically french evening meal. Pont d'Ouche - Vandenesse Wednesday Your captain will work even harder today, passing all the locks between Pont d'Ouche and the final destination of Vandenesse. A wonderful opportunity to enjoy the countryside, relax on the sun deck, walk or cycle ahead. In the surroundings of Crugey you will have a Burgundy menu for lunch. After the barge has arrived in Vandenesse, it is up to you to decide the destination for your final excursion: the Water Chateau of Commarin, the Tunnel entrance in Pouily en Auxois or a nearby cheese dairy. Alternatively, perhaps you would like to challenge the crew to a Petanque championship! This evening begins with cocktails, and the chance to learn the act of Sabrage, whereby slashing open a bottle of Champagne with a sword, as the Dukes of Burgundy did hundreds of years ago. Enjoy our great farewell dinner and the Lock Diploma ceremony! Dijon Thursday After a hearty breakfast, we will transfer you back to La Chateau Chassagne, the train station or Dijon airport. Bon retour!

No booking is considered confirmed until a 40% deposit is received, and the signed booking form duly returned.

Upon receipt, a confirmation document will be issued immediately.

Final payment will be due 120 days prior to the cruise.

In the event of cancellation by the client, the following charges will apply:

Cruise cancelled more than 120 days prior to departure: 15%

Cruise cancelled between 120 and 91 days prior to departure: 35%

Cruise cancelled between 90 and 61 days prior to departure: 55%

Cruise cancelled between 60 and 31 days prior to departure: 75%

Cruise cancelled between 30 and 15 days prior to departure: 80%

Cruise cancelled less tha 14 days prior to departure: 85%

Minimum USD30 per person
