ITINERARY
Mira - Casone Zappe
Sunday After being met by your Captain in Mira and escorted to La Dolce Vita, enjoy a traditional Prosecco welcome. Marvel at the views during the evening cruise as we descend into the Venetian Lagoon vai the Brenta river. Evening mooring infront of the Casone Zappe, a 20th century masterpiece of Italian Liberty architecture.
Casone Zappe - Venice Lido
Monday Our morning excursion takes us to the hunting and fishing resorts in the wilderness of the southern Venetian Lagoon. After lunch on board, sit back as we sail to Pellestrina Island and Venice Lido where we moor with excellent views of Saint Mark's Square and cathedral. If you are feeling energetic, take a 10km bicycle ride to explore Lido Island. Visit the beach, shops and historic Excelsior and Des Bains Hotels, second home to movie stars during the Venice film festival. Dinner ashore at Villa Laguna Restaurant.
Venice Lido - Venice- Torcello Island
Tuesday After a short cruise around Saint Giorgio Island we will arrive in Venice to visit St Mark's Cathedral and Doge's Palace. Optional gondola tours passing under the Bridge of Sighs are available for the romantics among you. Our afternoon cruise takes us through the old Venetian artillery Fort at Saint Andrea. Evening mooring in the North Lagoon, at Torcello Island.
Torcello Island - Murano
Wednesday Step back in time to explore Torcello, the first lagoon island to be colonised over 2000 years ago. See the Veneto - Byzantium styled cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. At Burano you will enjoy the lively, colourful streest and the Lace Museum. Afternoon cruise to Murano where we dine.
Murano - Mira
Thursday Murano is world famous for it's beautiful glassware. See the glass blowing process at the workshop this morning. On reaching Venice,a boat taxi will take you on a tour of the beautiful Grand Canal. After lunch, choose between free time to wander the old quartes and a guided tour of the town's art museums. On our afternoon cruise we leave the lagoon to climb the river Brenta for our evening mooring at Mira.
Mira - Dolo
Friday Enjoy the spectacular views during our morning cruise to Stra. Marvel at the 18th century masterpiece of Venetian architecture at Villa Pisani with it's frescos from Tiepolo. After a short afternoon cruise we moor at Dolo for the Captain's Farewell Dinner.
Dolo - Mira
Saturday After breakfast, we transfer you to Mira for your onward journey.
