Randle

We are so pleased to have found this traditional 'bijou' nestling in the beautiful Burgundy countryside on the Nivernais canal.

With breakfast and one meal included, enjoy the opportunity to explore local restaurants and bistro for your third meal each day.
Your captain Tim will introduce you to the history of this region and will be delighted to tailor the cruise itinerary to suit you whatever your interests, sporty or not! Sit back to unwind or help the captain, the Matelot and the Cordon Bleu chef should you prefer.... This boat has a relaxed atmosphere and guests are made to feel very welcome, even to the point of being invited to take the helm under the expert supervision of the Captain.

Boat plan

Built by English craftsmen in 2001, The Randle has a traditional layout with modern facilities.
The brass and hardwood fittings, marble and granite tops and traditional decking all enhance this lovely boat.
As you enter the boat into the wheelhouse, you will feel instantly at home, and no doubt appreciate the raised dining area for 6 which gives good views over the canal and surrounding countryside. Traditional teak flooring and the leather seating contrast with the modern ipod player and WiFi. The sides of the wheelhouse can be folded down during cruising to allow the gentle breezes through, while retaining the roof in place to offer shade.
Whether from the wheelhouse or from the upper deck where teak furniture is available with parasols, simply enjoy the beautiful scenery. If you prefer, you may like to take one of the ship's bicycles and 'race' Randle to the next stop!

Access to the saloon and cabins is via a short flight of steep steps.
Guests can relax on the fitted, leather sofa for 6 in the open plan saloon while watching the chef at work and perhaps pick up a few tips!

The Master cabin has a fixed double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk and an opening skylight. The ensuite bath, shower, electric toilet and handbasin are set in marble.

The Guest cabin has twins in traditional bunk formation, with headroom of 60cms above the top bunk, a wardrobe, desk and opening skylight. The ensuite shower, electric toilet and handbasin are set in marble.

Both cabins have individual air-conditioning climate control.

For maximum privacy for our guests, the crew quarters are self contained in the bows with a separate entrance.
