Boat plan

The Who Knows, built in 1930 and once home to Stirling Haden comprises of:
A light, spacious air conditioned, forward double cabin with ensuite bathroom: electric toilet, vanity basin and large shower; opening port hole, skylight, reading lights, ample storage.
Two rear air-conditioned cabins, each with ensuite bathroom; opening port holes; ample storage, reading lights.

The recently renovated upper saloon is a cosy area in which to drink that pre-dinner apperatif.
Descend the solid wooden steps to the completely refurbished lower saloon which provides an area to dine, take coffee or tea, or simply to relax in the leather seating while you listen to music on the CD system, make use of the IPod docking station or browse a book from the good library: guide books, culinary books and general interest books are all available.
You will certainly want to be on deck as you cruise: A 30m² stainless steel canopy acts as a permanent sun shade over wheelhouse sun terrace.
Tables and chairs provide an excellent arena for outside dining while enjoying the country views.

Full central heating; constant hot and cold water and full 220v system aboard enable this boat to offer cruises at any time of the year.

The Who Knows offers flexibility, good service, a friendly atmosphere yet with an attention to detail such as flowers and fresh fruit in each cabin, that you will surely appreciate, and all at an unbeatable price.
She can be chartered on a full board or half board basis ( see our Luxury Cruises for details)

Optional extras and theme based cruises are available on request: Golf, horse riding, cookery demonstrations and Hot Air Ballooning.
We look forward to welcoming you aboard.

ITINERARY
Sunday: Dijon - Pont de Pany
16H00 : After being met by your captain at the TGV station at Dijon, transfer to the Who Knows for a Champagne welcome.
Time to settle in before dinner on board.

Monday: Pont de Pany - Pont d'Ouche
After a good night's rest and a continentale breakfast,we set sail for Pont d'Ouche cruising through the dramatic Ouche Valley, noted for it's steep sided tree lined dense deciduous forest, wild boar, deer and birds of prey.
Opportunities for cycling and walking today, or to simply watch Burgundy glide by if you prefer.
The sedate pace contines through the afternoon as we climb through several locks to our destination of Pont d'Ouche, our mooring for the night.

Tuesday: Pont d'Ouche - Vandenesse
Today is all about wine! Jason's knowledge of wine now comes into it's own as he guides you through the vineyards, explaining the strict growing conditions of Burgundy's AOC.
The morning rounds off with a wine tasting.
After lunch, we continue our cruise along the canal with again the chance to cycle or walk alongside if you wish.
After several locks, Who Knows moors at Vandenesse in the shadow of the beautiful Chateauneuf-en-Auxois, the village being classified as one of France's prettiest.

Wednesday: A visit to Beaune
No visit to Burgundy is complete without a trip to Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy.
Visiting the world famous 'Hotel Dieu', also known as 'Les Hospices de Beaune', step back to the 1440's when the building was built by Nicolas Rolin.
You will surely enjoy the museum that the Hospice now houses, with it's authentic hospital ward, pharmacy and kitchens.
After lunch we will visit Patriarche Pere et Fils, the largest wine cellar in Burgundy, with more than 4 million bottles of wine.
Enjoy tasting a wide range of wines from the simple to the most illustrious.
A leisurely drive back through the countryside returns you to Who Knows in time for an aperatif before dinner.

Thursday: Pont d'Ouche - Pouilly en Auxoise
This morning Jason will take you for a guided tour of the fortified castle at Chateauneuf from where the views are simply stunning.
Behind the castle is a fascinating small village, considering the importance of the chateau.
In the afternoon, we will set sail toward the summit pound. Who Knows has to be prepared to pass through the Pouilly tunnel, a hugely impressive feat of engineering built by British prisoners of war during the Napoleonic wars.
The unique tunnel journey takes 45 minutes and brings the Who Knows to Pouilly en Auxoise, the mooring for this evening.

Friday: Pouilly en Auxoise - Pont Royal
After two fairly busy days, your final full day aboard brings you back to the leisurely world of barging.
From the Pound, Who Knows will go through 12 locks in quick succession as we head into the countryside.
Either watch Jason at work, or cycle or walk along the tow path, as you wish.
The afternoon's cruising is more leisurely as we glide across the valley floor to our final destination, Pont Royal.

Saturday: Pont Royal - Dijon
After breakfast, and farewells at 9.30am, we will escort you safely back to Dijon TGV station for your return to Paris or onward journey.
